Shown below are the services we offer in order to give you the best possible results.
In order to powder coat items which have just been made we need to remove any leftover fabricating oil. Any leftover oil can burn during the baking process leaving uncoated areas on the item; our phosphate degreasing machine cleans the items ready for coating.
If an item has been previously painted or powder coated we can use our shot blaster to strip it back to bare metal. The shot blasting leaves a perfect key on the metal for the paint to stick to.
Once the item has been prepared we powder coat it in your choice of colour. We can also finish certain colours off with a clear lacquer coat which gives additional protection and extra shine.
Wheels are a very popular item to get powder coated. The finish is stronger and more durable than traditional wet paint. Light kerbing around the rim of the wheel is usually only paint deep and is removed during the shot blasting process. For heavier kerbing we can use high temperature chemical metal to build the rim back up; traditional filler reacts during the baking process causing it to melt.
We now offer tyre removal, fitting and balancing. Being able to offer this service allows us to provide you with the complete package; once finished your wheels will be ready for you to put them straight on to your car, without the worry of taking them to a third party to have your tyres fitted.
